How To Get Rid Of Dandruff

Dandruff can be really annoying problem. About half of the population suffers from a flaky scalp at some point in our lives. Dandruff consists of loose white flakes in the hair, which fall off and may be noticed on the shoulders and back. Dandruff is a common scalp condition which may be accompanied by itching. Since this is such a common problem, there are many options for getting rid of dandruff.

  • Drink water – due to lack of moisture, the scalp may become dry and flaky.
  • Healthy diet – Diet is an important factor when it comes to dandruff. Lack of necessary oils in your diet and bad nutrition can contribute to dandruff.
  • Wash your hair with shampoo–  without frequent shampooing, the oil and skin cells can build up on your scalp and eventually flake off. Find shampoo that suits your hair type. Usually it pays off to use products recommended by professionals, especially if you have sensitive hair or scalp. Make sure to wash all the shampoo and/or conditioner from the hair. Remains of it can cause dandruff.
  • Anti-Dandruff shampoos – This is a great help in the fight against dandruff. Read the guidance about how to use it. Use it frequently and leave it in the hair for few minutes. Then rinse thoroughly.
  • Deep conditioner – If your scalp and/or hair is dry use deep conditioner and massage it into your scalp gently Leave it in for an hour before you rinse it thoroughly.
  • Minimize the use of hair products such as mousse, balm, gel and volumizer can make the problem worse. Excessive use of hair products can make your hair and scalp unhealthy and cause dandruff.
  • Relax – stress can cause dandruff therefore its better to keep your stress level to a minimum.
  • In extreme cases doctor can prescribe medicated shampoos or creams.

Five things that will save you time

AHHHH!!! sdkljfp089h t!!!!! i feel slightly st...

Being a parent is wonderful, but at times it can be really difficult and stressful. The mornings are especially chalenging in my household, getting four young children out of bed, give them breakfast, get them dressed and then drive them to school or kindergarten on time. Too much to do and not enough time. It´s the working mom´s dilemna. It is often competition against time so that all the tasks which are needed to be done can be completed each day. To make my days easier I have discovered few things that save time and I want to share that with you.

  1. Dry shampoo – a great way to quick fix your hair when you don’t have time to shower. You just sprinkle or spray the preparation on your hair, wait a few moments for it to work and then brush or blot it out. Dry shampoo works by absorbing oil from your scalp and hair,  making it look freshly washed. That really saves time in the morning. The brand I use is Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush.
  2. Planning – end each evening by preparing for the next day. Make a to-do list of what needs to be done so that you won’t forget it in the rush during the day.
  3. Prepare – make your children find the clothes for the following morning in the evening before they go to sleep. It cat save a lot of chaos and mood swings in the morning.
  4. Prudence – cook a large quantity of food so you can have leftovers to put in the freezer and use for dinner when you do not have the time or energy to cook. This way you can skip fast food, wich I try, even though it is good to have once in a while to save time.
  5. Your lunch hour – run quick errands, you can save time by buying a birthday gift, return books to the library or mail a package in your lunch hour.
